Baby in-utero wasn't able to help but all of my adult friends and family loved this dessert! My variation involved ingredients that I found during my Trader Joe's grocery trip. Pretzel Thins topped with slices of TJ dark chocolate covered caramels (too big to use withought slicing) and pecan pieces. I've been calling them "Fake Turtles"...same idea as a regular turtle candy but with fewer calories. Wonderful recipe and oh-so easy!

I saw this the other day, and then didn't give it much thought. Last night, though, I realized I needed a gift for someone, like, RIGHT NOW, and I managed to make a tray of these while I was cooking dinner. (My toddler, sadly, did not help).

I didn't have any pecan halves around, so I made these with Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and then cocktail peanuts on top. They are really, really excellent. And now, sigh, my gift-making is finally complete for the year.

Thanks for this great idea! We will make these again--this time, with the toddler.

Thanks for this great idea - my 4 year old and 2 year old are going to make these tomorrow morning as their gift for their grandmothers. One of whom has a nostalgic thing for Turtles (from Canada) and I think that these may really hit the spot. Happy Xmas and thanks again.
