Cheap, crafty, creative and thrifty – here are our favourite home made play kitchens for little kids.
Danish designer Mette Helena has transformed a medicine cabinet, a dresser and a closet for the cutest play kitchen using paint and tiles. Mette Helena Rasmussen is an artist, fine arts student, home stylist and owner of interior design company Retro Villa. I love, love love her use of vintage wallpapers to decorate furniture (second image).
Made from an old computer hutch – this is a simple project with fabulous results. I like the cute use of upside down CD as hotplates, the nightlight on an extension cord inside the oven and the old pyrex dish as a sink.
This sweet pop-coloured play kitchen is made from a repurposed TV stand. The removable sink is a nice touch for adding the all-exciting real water experience.
Beautifully finished with tiling, curtains and a window with a view.
