Back in 2006 we published an article which linked to how to make an I-spy game in a plastic bottle. “The idea is to fill an empty drink bottle full of rice and trinkets with a list of the contents stuck on the outside. As the child turns the bottle from side to side and shakes it up, the trinkets reveal themselves and your child can mark off what they find on the list.”
A similar idea was published on Say Yes to Hoboken on Friday (top image) as part of their DIY family car games series . Brilliantly, they suggest that after collecting together all the small items arrange them in a cluster and photograph them, print it out and stick it to the outside of the bottle.
This will mean even smaller, pre-reading children will be able to enjoy this game too.
